A gal with eyes
That have no warmth.
Frozen amongst time
Where nothing seems to matter.
She watches
As her eyes drift.
Drift
Into a mad abyss.
The loneliness
Slowly has taken over.
Swirls of black
Take the colour.
A dark hole
is all that's left.
Look in the mirror

I Chose the Wrong PathI've let myself go
Why have I become this way?

I've turned down the wrong path
And now I can't get out.

I'm trapped in a life
That I don't want to live.

I go deeper down the wrong path
As it get's darker & darker.

There doesn't seem to be an end
To this dark & dreary path.

I am alone.
I am hurt.
I am lost.

Every turn I make
I end up staring danger in the face.

This path will never end
Yet, I can't turn around.

I shall continue,
Only because I've come this far.

I Cry in SilenceAs I cry
I cry in silence.
The rain comes down hard
My tears not far behind.
I stand, arms apart, face to the sky
I wonder why the clouds are crying
Have they been hurt as well?
The sky turns darker
My tears roll faster.
Thunder comes, lightning strikes
I start to scream with all my life,
but like the lightning
I do not make a sound.
As I cry

Hazel EyesAs she talks to her friends
Her smile has a warm feeling
The personality slips between her teeth
Hazel eyes may be sparkling
But the wrong is coming

The words slide through her lips
Friends' faces seem to sadden
As she goes on and on
Not knowing what she is doing

Interrupted between her thoughts
The ones she used to care about
Now seem so threatening

The words of misleading hate
Hit her like a rock, They would not stop throwing
Eyes filling with tears, her heart racing
She lets it go
This is how her day goes by

Got it last year! Just finished with the tattoo when the picture was taken.

Too many meanings behind why I got it.. Glad I did though!

Did it hurt? No, if it was any closer to my hand it would have!

"That will look ironic when you're dead." Yes I understand that, am I dead now though? NO. It symbolizes my life, what I've been through & why I am still alive TODAY.

"That's not what a good EKG looks like." Yes I know!! Kind of plays into the symbolism!

I think it's beautiful. No matter what anyone says. I hated myself when I cut, and I plan on (when i have the money) getting my first tattoo right over my scars. It will hopefully be symbolic of my realization that I'm loved, and a tribute to the TWLOHA movement. To all those still fighting, stay strong, and to those who have recovered and overcome. You are true fighters.
